Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data we process, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

The controller responsible for any personal data described here is:

2. The app: on-device, zero collection

The Quenderin application performs all AI inference locally on your device using a model you download once. After that one-time download:

• Your prompts, conversations, and any files you use are processed only on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
• The app does not use, integrate, or send data to any third-party AI service. Inference is performed by the open-source llama.cpp engine compiled into the app itself.
• We operate no servers that receive your content. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no cloud sync.
• We collect no usage analytics, no telemetry, and no crash data from the app.

For app-store disclosures, our "data collected" is None. The app's only network activity is fetching model files:

• Model downloads. Model files are downloaded from a public model host (Hugging Face, huggingface.co) over a standard request; that host may log the request per its own policy. We do not receive that data.
• Model-catalog search (optional). If you search for a model to download, the search term you type is sent to Hugging Face’s public model index to find matching files. Nothing else is attached to that request — no conversation content, no account, and no identifiers beyond what any web request carries (such as an IP address). Search terms are used only to return catalog results and are never stored by us.

3. This website

This marketing website is a static site that loads no third-party resources, cookies, fonts, analytics, or trackers. We do not set cookies and we do not profile visitors. Standard, transient server logs may be kept by our hosting provider for security and operation (e.g. IP address, time, page requested); we do not use these to identify you.

4. Following the project (no data collected)

This site has no sign-up form and collects no email addresses. To hear when the mobile apps launch, you can star or watch the project on GitHub. Any data involved in that is processed by GitHub under GitHub’s own privacy statement; we only ever see the public star/watch count, never your email or identity.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR/UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; rectify it; erase it; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.

To exercise any right, contact us at quenderin@aulenor.com. Because the app holds your data only on your own device, you control that data directly — deleting the app removes it.

6. Children

Quenderin is not directed to children under 16 (or the applicable age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

7. International transfers

We collect no personal data, so we carry out no international transfers. The app transfers nothing; this website has no forms, processors, or trackers.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected here.
