Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using this website or the Quenderin software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2. The software

Quenderin is free, open-source software licensed under the MIT License. Your use, copying, modification, and distribution of the source code are governed by that license, available in the project repository. These Terms govern your use of this website and the official distributions; the MIT License governs the code.

3. "As is" — no warranty

The software and website are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Quenderin runs AI models that can produce inaccurate or incomplete output; do not rely on it for professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Quenderin to break the law, infringe others' rights, or generate harmful, deceptive, or abusive content. The app includes a safety blocklist for certain autonomous actions, but you remain responsible for how you use it.

5. Intellectual property

The source code is licensed under MIT. The "Quenderin" name, logo, and brand assets are the property of the Quenderin Project and may not be used in a way that implies endorsement without permission. Third-party components (e.g. llama.cpp, model weights) are subject to their own licenses.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the software or website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including your statutory consumer rights in the EU/UK).

7. Third-party links

This site links to third-party sites (e.g. GitHub). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
